ThoughtSpot is cutting edge, constantly evolving technology is the BI space having self service analytical capabilities which makes users operate and build analytical solutions to draw insights and drive decision making.
As part of this job, you will manage the end to end Tool operations which includes but not limited to data loads, data transformation, managing activities involved with IT, Cloud team and ThoughtSpot team.
You will be joining a small but growing team with exposure to multiple stakeholders in Finance, IT and ThoughtSpot. This is an internal client facing role with huge opportunity to grow. The right person for this role will gain a huge amount of knowledge of the business initially from a markets perspective but this will be extended to new domains as the usage increases. They will also build a wide internal network e.g. IT
Your key responsibilities:
Timely data load into ThoughtSpot from SQL servers using SSIS/ADF – monthly and weekly.
Data validation – i.e. key numbers agree back to standard report check numbers and drill downs are consistent with the high-level numbers.
User Support: The support questions from Users are answered quickly, accurately, and only a few must be passed up a support level. Support questions will range from data to 'how to' use the tool.
Technical Support: Work with Technical teams in EY and ThoughtSpot to ensure the smooth operations of the cluster on Azure
Access right: New users are to be added with correct security access based on their role (e.g. UKI person to UKI data) and this is monitored periodically.
Connect with the ThoughtSpot helpdesk when system goes down etc. without support or intervention from others
Connect with the ThoughtSpot consultants to enhance usability of the tool and implement enhancements
Work with internal IT teams (DBA, Cloud services) to keep the tool running
Operate independently: ThoughtSpot Operational Lead is kept fully informed on what is going on without having to chase or manage.
Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.
Can do attitude it vital. Technical capability is important.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
Understanding of relational databases, SQL and data modelling.
Experience working on MS SQL, SSIS, and other data management tools.
Working knowledge in Linux and python/R would be an added advantage.
Knowledge of financial metrics and terminologies crucial. Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree preferably in finance or a related field
Proficient in navigating web browsing tools (Chrome and explorer) and Knowledge of MS office applications needed. Advanced Excel skills essential.
Working knowledge on any Visualization tool like Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, QlikView etc
Understanding the fundamentals of cloud concepts
To qualify for the role, you must have
Minimum of 6 years experience in Reporting space working on Databases and Visualization tools.
B.Com/M.Com or BBM/MBA (with technology experience) or Bachelor’s degree in Information technology
Excellent communication skill
